Instructions

  1. Prepare brown butter by melting it in a saucepan over medium heat until browned. Cool for about 30 minutes.
  2. Blot pumpkin puree using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, spice blend, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Combine cooled brown butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup in a mixing bowl; add egg yolk and mix well.
  5. Stir in pumpkin puree and vanilla extract until smooth.
