  • 500g chicken breast (thinly sliced)
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 200g mushrooms (sliced)
  • 1 small onion (sliced)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 2 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Cook the rice according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a large wok or skillet over medium-high heat, heat vegetable oil. Add sliced chicken and cook until lightly golden brown. Remove from pan.
  3. In the same pan, add more oil if needed; sauté onion and garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add broccoli and mushrooms; stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until tender yet crisp.
  4. Return cooked chicken to the pan, adding soy sauce and hoisin sauce; mix well.
  5. Pour in cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce; cook until slightly thickened.
  6. Serve stir-fry over steamed rice.
