  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme (or 1/2 tsp dried thyme)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 8 oz pasta shells
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta shells according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt unsalted butter, then add minced garlic and thyme; stir until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Return the cooked sausage to the skillet, then add more butter and garlic for the creamy sauce.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, chicken broth, and Italian seasoning; simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Mix in grated Parmesan cheese until smooth, then combine with the cooked pasta and sausage.
