  • 2 cups (4 sticks / 454 g) unsalted butter
  • 2 cups (400 g) granulated sugar
  • 2 cups (336 g) semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1 cup (109 g) finely chopped pecans

Instructions

  1. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a heavy-bottom saucepan over medium heat, combine butter and sugar. Stir continuously until the mixture reaches 285°F (dark amber color), about 35-45 minutes.
  3. Pour the mixture onto the lined baking sheet and sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Wait for 1-2 minutes, then spread the melted chocolate evenly.
  4. Sprinkle chopped pecans over the chocolate and gently press them in.
  5. Allow to cool at room temperature for about one hour until set.
  6. Break into pieces for serving or gifting.
