  • 2 lbs Apples (Gala or Fuji recommended)
  • 10 cups Water
  • 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 4 inches Fresh Ginger
  • 2 Cinnamon Sticks
  • 2 tsp Black Peppercorns

Instructions

  1. Wash and quarter apples without peeling.
  2. In an Instant Pot, combine apples, ginger, brown sugar, cinnamon sticks, black peppercorns, and water. Cook on high pressure for 18 minutes.
  3. For stovetop, simmer combined ingredients in a stock pot for about 30 minutes until soft.
  4. Strain using a fine mesh sieve to remove solids.
  5. Cool completely before serving warm or chilled.
